Splash form Aluminum Bowls by Melt Modern

I love things which are incredibly impractical and yet incredibly beautiful at the same time and this aluminum bowl by Melt Modern is one such example. I guess you could use it to organize my cotton balls in the bathroom, but most likely it would just sit alone on a shelf looking like a science experiment gone wonderfully wrong. Starting at $195 at Unica Home.

Multiple Diode Necklace

I hate going in Radio Shack because I hate being asked every 4 seconds if the clerk can help me find something, mainly because the clerk could not actually help me find anything if I actually wanted him to. This awesome Diode Necklace from Fractalspin makes me wish I spent more time braving the annoying clerks so I could have come up with a great piece of jewelry that is equal parts geeky, gorgeous and imaginative. $190. Only 1 left in stock, so hurry.

If I owned one of these delicate handblown Esque Punch Bowls, I'd build a little light box stand for it to showcase the charms of its little interior mountain range. $630 at Velocity Art and Design.

Elephant Kimono Romper

It seems like they put fertility drugs in the water bubblers at the office sometimes. It's all baby shower after baby shower. While searching the internet for yet another cute, unique baby gift to give I nearly spent over my budget and bought Lotta Jansdotter's über cute kimono onesie. It's neutral enough to work for a boy or girl and it's on sale, which is even better. You can also pick up the matching beanie and blankie at a mean sale price. Currently $25.60.

Bath Bees with Royal Jelly

Post Modern Mouse is back from the dead. It's been so hectic I barely even noticed I'd been gone for all of 2007.

Winter just won't seem to die around here and unfortunately for me that means dry scratchy Winter skin is hanging around as well. Fortunately there are Gianna Rose Atelier's Bath Bees bath beads with sunflower oil and royal jelly to soothe the skin while you unwind from a hectic day. Plus, bees remind me of flowers, which reminds me that Spring will eventually arrive. $25.50 at Unica Home.

Tång Shoulder Tote

If I have one weakness it's sharp bags. handbags, totebags, hell grocery bags so long as they are cute or gorgeous or just plain cool. If I have two weaknesses it might just be bags and scandanavian design and that, my friends is why my current achilles heel jusst might be Lotta Jansdotter's simple , elegant and modern tote bags. I just bought a new totebag on etsy the other week, but I just really 'need' one of these Tång shouder totes. $48.

Greenberries Laptop Tote

The quest for the perfect laptop bag continues. I absolutely love this greenberries laptop tote from Anthropologie. But, like just about everything else that wonderful awful store sells (awful becasue everything is so great, but out of my price range) I won't be ponying up it's $368 pricetag. So, the hunt continues.

Swiss Army Mouse

I'm a bit of a rubbish blogger I fear, I keep disappearing, because I got a new job and I've been swamped, but I'm getting into a routine again so maybe I'll really get on the ball. Anyway, I've just recently bought a spiffy new Macbook and so I've been hunting for the perfect laptop sleeve (I have a feeling I'm just going to have to look for a plain one and screenprint it myself in the end, I've not liked anything I've seen in terms of its looks.) Whilst hunting I saw this absolute must have at Flight 001 I've never been a big fan of those little touchpads you use intsead of a mouse on laptops so this little travel mouse with retractable usb cable is the perfect answer and with that Swiss Army styling it's even cuter. $32.

Redwoods Tote

I really love Jill Bliss' illustrations. I'll be buying my wall calendar from Blissen again this year, and I'm not much of a totebag person, but this might make me one. I'd better heurry and decide though because these limited edition totes probably won't last long $36 at Blissen

All the grocers near me have had their halloween aisles stocked to bursting for the last month. When did the Halloween season get longer than the buildup to xmas? Halloween is, however, my absolute favourite holiday and these Marcel Dzama salt and pepper cellars would be a perfect way to celebrate the saeson whilst eating dinner. $50 at velocity art and design

Purple rubber dish gloves

Doing the dishes is never much fun, especially when you're like me and don't have a dishwasher. The dish gloves from BasicFrench online at least let you finish your chores while pretending you're a mad scientist plotting world domination instead of getting that stubborn stuck on egg off your plates. $9 a pair.

Salt-chan enameled canister

If there's one place where I have an addiction to cute and quirky items, it's the kitchen. This enamaled canister from Aranzi is not only adorable it has a nice retro feel. Sugar-chan with a smiling face is also nice. 1,300 Yen (about $11)

Eclectica vintage and estate jewelry

This vintage 1940s bracelet is $44, but I'm here to talk more about the shop, eclectica, which is one of my favourites for vintage, unique estate jewelry items. I first discovered it during my pop-bead mania, but on top of having a great selection of pop-beads, they've also got a really fabulous array of all kinds of vintage treasures.
