Subway Stations Buttons

It's been awhile since I was obsessed with buttons. I've always had a couple on the lapel of my winter coat, just to make it recognizable from the others in the sea of black pea coats, but that's about it for me this decade. However I love this set of buttons of the subway stations in Toronto at Spacing. They're hip without being hipster. $48 for the whole set, also availble in lines.

N Cluster Necklace

My employer is anti-business casual, which is fine really, except they were forced to go business casual because they had trouble recruiting in a city which is ultra-casual, so they implemented this form of business casual that's actually more restrictive than our business professional (unless you're male, they all love it) So now that all my shirts have to be collarbone or higher I've taken to collecting really graphic and funky necklaces to take the emphasis away from how mountainous crewnecks make my chest look. This n-cluster necklace at Modica is amazingly cool. It will look even nicer next winter when I'm running around dressed like a beatnik in turtlenecks =).

pom-pom umbrella

It's proper autumn now. Rain, Rain and more rain. (ok so that's not proper autumn for where I live now, but it's proper autumn back in Boston.) So here's a cute umbrella at pareumbrella $53

circuitboard luggage tags

Now that travel woes mean you've a 50% chance of your bags sitting in a pile of 10,000 in the back of Heathrow, don't go for those boring, samey-samey paper tags the airlines give out. Opt instead for these stylish tags made from recycyled electronic circuitboards from fractal spin $4 each.

fused glass cufflinks

There is nothing sexier on a shirt than a nice pair of cufflinks. I'm serious, I really wish they'd make a comback on everyday shirts. In case you're hip enough to rock the French Cuff, you'll be glad to know that Happy Owl Glassworks has you covered with a delightful assortment of cufflinks for only $35 a pair. (My personal favourite is the Porcupine.)

Corace Address Book

With this cute address book you'll never again hunt through random scraps of paper jammed in your wallet wondering whose phone number that is. $24 at Giant Robot. (Just in case you can't live without scraps of paper, it has a pocket to hold them as well.)

bacon wallet

It's treyf and it's meat, but even though I don't want to eat it, it makes a pretty cool quirky wallet. $8 at day-lab
